Beer brand Red Stripe turned cans, bottles and products found in an east London corner store into ‘instruments’.

Each time unsuspecting shoppers reached for a can or bottle of Red Stripe beer, they were treated to a version of Dandy Livingstone’s ‘A Message To You Rudy’ by unusual musical instruments.

With bottles as trumpets, food cans as a xylophone, Tetra Paks as maracas, and packets of nuts as shakers—the sounds made were created by the typical products found in a corner shop themselves.

The products were modified and placed on the shelves so that they blended into the environment
