Sculptures Crafted With Stainless Steel Ribbons That Look Beautifully Fluid

Skilful scupltors are often capable of creating fluidity and movement in their work—and Texas-based Gil Buvel is no exception, although he chose to work with an unconventional material.

By casting stainless steel into ribbons, Buvel creates figures which seem to undulate like waves.

In doing so, he hopes to capture the “underlying fluidity” of each living being present in reality.

His work will be exhibited at the Chloe Gallery in San Francisco from 30 June 2013.
