Adidas Opens Giant Shoebox Pop-Up Store Celebrating 50 Years Of An Iconic Shoe

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the iconic Stan Smith shoe named after the American tennis player, Adidas set up a pop-up store recently at the Old Truman Brewery in East London that was a scale replica of the famous footwear’s shoebox.

Aside from selling limited edition shoes, the store had 3D Systems Cube printers that let customers customize their lace locks. It also previewed an app called ‘Stan Yourself’ that let users imprint their own portraits and signatures in place of Smith’s face and signature.

Over 40 million pairs of Stan Smith shoes have been sold worldwide, making it the best-selling brand in Adidas’ history, and this interactive experience was definitely a memorable one for fans of the iconic footwear.
