German photographer Daniel Sax has created an inspiring animated video based on the popular interview by American producer Ira Glass, in which he discusses storytelling and the gap between having good taste and skills.

Using live-action typography, Sax used his own language and style to reiterate Glass’ message. According to Sax, he said that he was inspired by the video done by Singapore filmmaker David Shiyang Lius.

“I made it for myself and for anybody who is in doubt with his creative career,” wrote Sax. “I also think that Ira Glass’ message isn’t only limited to the creative industry. It can be applied to everyone who starts out in a new environment and is willing to improve.”
