Graffiti Gets Super Sexy With Illustrated Pin-Up Girls

Copenhagen-based artist Tine Helleshøj’s signature style has been described as ‘sensual’ and ‘rock’n roll’, and anyone would agree, after seeing her unique artworks of sexy pin-up girls.

Working with a mixed range of media including oil paint, gouache, stencils and spray paint, the backgrounds are usually modern, psychedelic bursts of rainbow colors and patterns, from which the black-and-white stencilled pin-up girls stand out.

On her inspiration, it is said on her website that she “weaves her characters’ stories spontaneously, eschewing obvious social statements and instead focusing on captivating imagery that brings a smile to the viewer’s lips. She is not inspired by any certain direction in art but finds her inspiration in urban life.”
