Witty Messages Show What Discarded Objects May Be Thinking

“Can you see me?”

Australian street artist Michael Pederson has created an ongoing series of "text interventions" on discarded and lost objects around Sydney.

The artist uses self-adhesive letters to spell out messages like “I want to go home” on the tire of a rusted bicycle, and “Stop talking about the weather” on a sign below a tower of stacked cards.

The project seeks to engage viewers in an ongoing dialog between them and the inanimate objects.
