GoPro will be releasing ‘HERO’, an affordable, low-end version of its action cameras, early next month.

According to PetaPixel, HERO lets you record your adventures in “high-quality 1080p30 and 720p60 video capture”, and it comes with a “QuikCapture feature” which starts the camera and commences recording with a single press of a button.

The HERO is also fixed to an outer protective case that cannot be removed.

In a video uploaded by Russian YouTube channel Rozetked, specifications of the GoPro HERO, which reportedly costs “less than $200”, were also unveiled.

GoPro’s new HERO is expected to be released on 8 October 2014, together with the new range of HERO4 cameras.
