Based in New York City and Los Angeles, photographer Victoria Janashvili has recently launched a Kickstarter campaign for an art photography book titled Curves that aims to showcase the “beauty of woman of all shapes and sizes”.
Having already produced several successful “body image awareness” campaigns, Janashvili’s latest project is a continuation of her previous efforts and would feature both existing and new photographs.
The images in the book include artistically shot nude portraits of the subjects—they aim to celebrate female health and beauty, and are meant to make women feel better and more confident about their unique bodies.
Head over here to view more sample photographs from the book, and to pledge for it if you wish.
Do you think that these photographs are effective in fighting against a stereotypical idea of beauty?
